ARTVIN ÇORUH UNIVERSITY EMAIL USAGE POLICIES

When using Artvin Çoruh University's email services, you are deemed to have accepted the following conditions:

1. Artvin Çoruh University opens an email account in the format '[email protected]' for every academic and administrative staff member who applies. Email accounts are automatically deleted one week after the termination of the individual's affiliation. The responsibility for backing up emails lies with the user.

2. The user acknowledges that they are the sole owner of the service rights and that the username and password are for their personal use only. They agree not to share this information with anyone else and to change their password if there is suspicion of compromise.

3. Users are obligated to actively use and monitor their email accounts. Accounts that remain inactive for three (3) months are automatically suspended, and those inactive for one (1) year are permanently deleted from the servers.

4. The user accepts responsibility for all expressions, including text and attachments, within their email messages. Users are accountable for sending messages that may constitute a crime, such as threatening, illegal, defamatory, obscene, or libelous content.

5. Users are prohibited from storing or linking to pornographic content, images, animations, videos, or similar content in their accounts.

6. Users cannot send messages using another system's server or another user's account without permission from the relevant individual.

7. Users cannot use their accounts for commercial or profit-making purposes. Sending bulk emails for advertising, promotion, announcements, etc., (SPAM) to multiple users is prohibited.

8. Users are solely responsible for any legal liability arising from the publication rights of any information in their accounts.

9. Users are responsible for protecting against viruses by ensuring that antivirus software is installed and up to date on their computers. They accept responsibility for any damage caused by viruses sent to email accounts without the user's knowledge or permission.

10. While backups of email accounts are maintained, Artvin Çoruh University Information Processing Department cannot be held responsible for any data loss that may occur for any reason.
