Activity and Project Information

The requests received from all units of the university are examined by our Department of Information Technologies, provided that they are prioritised, and responded to within the scope of the current projects carried out with a reliable, quality and continuous service understanding in the most economical conditions, in order to meet the expectations of the university units and employees to the maximum extent according to the order of urgency and importance.

In order to fulfil the transactions related to students at our university in a fast and trouble-free manner by making use of today's technological opportunities, a Student Automation, which is open to cost, performance and innovations, has been purchased and has been put into operation in all our schools.

A Library Automation, which works in a web environment, has been purchased and put into operation to ensure that all these transactions are faster and safer by assisting the Library Department in carrying out transactions such as sorting and registering the books received in the library of our university, carrying out the lending transactions of the registered books and catalogue scanning.

Personnel Automation, which keeps the information of academic and administrative staff working at our university, has a flexible structure that can see the work of the Personnel Department, has been purchased and put into operation.

The Bank List of salary accounts was prepared every month to be sent to the bank.

Technical Support Programme studies were initiated in order to carry out the maintenance-repair and technical service operations provided by the Department of Information Technologies to all our units under a single automation framework and to enable all our units to see and query the latest status of their devices in service via the internet. System-Database design studies are ongoing.

Thanks to the Identity Printing Device purchased for the student ID printing process, the photo pasting process, which causes loss of time during ID printing, has been eliminated and the printing of IDs with barcodes has become completely done by our university facilities and external dependency has been eliminated. 

The web page of our university has been reorganised 

The information of the academic studies, publications, theses, articles, etc. of the academic staff of our university, including the academic staff, can be edited with the Academic Information System. Again, with this automation, all academic staff can follow the information of the students they are responsible for and enter the grades.

Licensed computer programmes needed by the units were purchased and installed on all computers and made available to the personnel. 

The telephone directory of our university has been updated and prepared so that it can be queried over the internet. In line with the requests from the units, the necessary environment has been provided for the telephone directory to be constantly updated on the internet by providing training to the personnel notified by the unit. 

All academic and administrative units of our university are connected to the "Information Processing Systems Centre" located in the central campus with different communication systems and special devices (routers, layer3 switches, wireless technologies, SDSL, IDSL bridges, Long Reach Ethernet connections, etc.) used on these systems, all kinds of configurations of which are made by the employees of our department.

As it is known, the internet connection of our university is made over the National Academic Network and Information Centre Network (ULAKNET). The internet connection of our university has reached 1 Gigabit speed on the backbone. 

The requirements of technology have been fulfilled in the internet and network connections of our university. In this context, the increase in our output speed and the network connection speeds between the Faculties, Schools and Vocational Schools and the Central Campus is directly proportional to the ULAKBIM budget and provides the opportunity to connect to the internet between the units.

SEM website project has been completed and the website has been opened for use. 10.12.2023

Faculty of Engineering Laboratory has been completely renovated. 15.12.2023
